Some people love their pets a lot. They sleep on the same bed, eat the same food, go to the park together, play ball with them, or even watch a movie with them. Pet owners show their love by spending time and sharing things with them.
Debbie Fleming from Orlando is taking her love for her Corgi a little too far, though. Debbie wants to ensure she will spend her future with her dog, Sherry. And she wants to do it by being cryogenically frozen with her.
The 55-year-old came up with the idea as she was inspired by her father who was frozen in 2013 when he died. Debbie’s father got interested in cryonics, thanks to a flyer given to him. She remembers him always talking about it and even preparing to ensure everything was in place so death wouldn’t be the end. Her dad believed that there is a little chance he might be able to come back if he’s frozen, and Debbie believes too.
Debbie believes that with the continuous development of nanotechnology, eventually, robots that can fix anything wrong with someone will exist. In an episode at a show called ‘This Morning,’ she expressed her disappointment with people who don’t have the same belief as they do. She even compared the possibility of the robots to how heart transplant is now possible nor sheep cloning. She really believes it will work one of these days.
Debbie decided to follow Dad’s footsteps before he even passed away. She didn’t want her father to be alone when they unfreeze him. Since her sister and mother refused to be cryogenically frozen like him, she volunteered for it. And recently, she decides she wants to bring Sherry with her. Sherry though seems to not like the idea, for she ran away the moment she heard Debbie talking about it.
