Dogs are not the only man’s best animal friend. They even build a strong, loyal bond with other dogs that they consider real buddies. Upon hearing the story of Cookie, you may realize that dogs are really a forever treasure.
Just recently, a filmmaker and actor Easton Dufur made a buzz over the Twitter world due to his post. This post has moved numerous hearts, and I’m sure that even you would share the same feeling too. Cookie and Stitch are the adorable pets of Dufur.
They are yellow Labrador dogs that are not only close to their master but also with each other. They always share the same food bowl. It was Stitch that taught Cookie to consume the only half amount of the food and leave some to Stitch.
Cookie is such a quick learner even when she was still a puppy, so she always makes sure to leave only half the food so that Stitch can eat some.
However, an unfortunate incident happened. Stitch recently died, leaving Cookie all alone. She dearly misses her buddy. One time, Easton saw something that melted his heart.
Since Stitch is no longer around, Easton only puts enough food for Cookie. Before going to bed, he checked first if the dog has already eaten her dinner. Only to find out that half of the food was left in the bowl for Stitch.
This scene is heartbreaking and tear-jerking at the same time. There are two likely reasons: it could be out of habit, or she still hopes that Stitch would come back home and share the food with her.
Dogs are smart creatures as well. And this story just proves that dogs can be faithful to anyone, including other pets.
Thanks to our friends over at The Animal Rescue Site for sharing with us the original story.
